Kuala Besut Jetty is the main entry point to Pulau Perhentian (Perhentian Islands). It is easily accessible via Kota Bharu and Kuala Terengganu domestic airports, Jerteh bus station and Tanah Merah train station.
Kuala Besut Jetty Boat Transfer Details
Boat Schedule: The journey will take 30 – 45 minutes
(Subject to weather and sea conditions)
- Kuala Besut Jetty to ALUNAN RESORT: 10.30am and 2:00pm daily (except Friday at 2.30pm)
- ALUNAN RESORT to Kuala Besut Jetty: 8:00am and 12:00pm daily
Arrangement for boat transfers outside of these scheduled timings is chargeable and will be considered as chartered boat.

Air travel
Take a domestic flight to Kota Bharu Airport (KBR) or Kuala Terengganu Airport (TGG).
Taxi travel time to Kuala Besut Jetty:
- From Kota Bharu Airport (KBR) : 90 minutes
- From Kuala Terengganu Airport (TGG) : 90 – 120 minutes
(Note: The road journey may be longer due to Friday prayers or festive holidays)

Bus/Coach travel
Take a bus to Jerteh. Approximate travel times:
- Kuala Lumpur (Terminal Bersepadu Selatan : TBS bus station – 8 hours
- Penang – 6 hours
- Singapore – 10 hours
- Johor Bharu – 9 hours
From Jerteh, take a 30-minute taxi ride to Kuala Besut Jetty.

Train travel
Take an overnight train with sleeping berths from Kuala Lumpur, Taman Negara (Pahang), Johor Bahru or Singapore, to Tanah Merah train station.
From Tanah Merah, take a 45-minute taxi ride to Kuala Besut Jetty.
